Pilot’s information EC2004
Competition will run from Friday September 17 9:00 hrs (first pilots meeting)
and end not later than Sunday September 19 17:00 hrs.
The actual competition will be on Friday and Saturday, the Sunday as reserve day.
Demonstrations will be held on Saturday and Sunday, as part of the North Sea
kite festival.
The flying fields are on a beach, sloping towards the sea. Flying fields just
wide enough for teams about 6 hours around low tide. Field size will be the
standard for teams, a bit smaller for pairs and not smaller than 85x85 m for
individuals. There will be limited place to practice.
Wind expected:
in general wind from NW (straight from the sea) between 2 and 10 m/s (7,2 - 36
km/h)
but also wind that differs 90 deg from NW (so SW to NO) is possible, it will
still be from the sea.
There may be wind less than 1 m/s, and there is a small risk wind will be more
than 12 m/s, or come from land.
